Connect website products to the correct clinical services, destination products, and fulfillment path.
Why product mappings matter
A product mapping tells ScalerMD what a storefront selection means downstream. It can associate a source product or variant with the intended clinical service, destination product, and configured commercial details.
An incorrect mapping can route an order into the wrong clinical or fulfillment workflow. Treat mappings as launch-critical configuration.
Prerequisites
- At least one active source or destination integration, as required by the mapping.
- A current source catalog with stable product and variant identifiers.
- The approved destination services or products for the program.
- Reviewed patient-facing product names, variants, and descriptions.
- A named owner who can approve the intended product and workflow.
Create and validate a mapping
- 01
Sync or import the current catalog
Make sure ScalerMD is working from the same products and variants that patients can actually select.
- 02
Open Product Mappings
Find unmapped or changed source products and open the record you want to configure.
- 03
Select the destination
Choose the intended clinical service or destination product using the approved program design.
- 04
Review product details
Confirm the product name, variant, identifier, and destination values shown for the mapping.
- 05
Save and test
Use test data to verify that the selected source product enters the expected clinical and fulfillment path.
When a product changes
- Pause acquisition for a changed product if its downstream route is uncertain.
- Confirm whether existing orders should retain the original mapping.
- Test the new configuration before returning the product to live traffic.
- Document who approved the change and when it became effective.
